Race Systems was born in 1985, when Itch
Leister - a veteran of local short
track racing- (he only drove for 2 seasons,
realizing his talents were in the construction and
maintenance of the cars) began testing and
servicing ignition systems for the local racers.
As racing became more dependent on the
electrical system, Itch decided racers needed a
lightweight but reliable charging system, which
would hold up to the rigors of dirt oval racing.
As the system evolved it |

lighter and more reliable, we believe today’s product
is the lightest most reliable charging system on the
market. LITECH uses Nippondenso
Alternators for all the race applications. Street
and Drag race applications are available using Delco
Alternators. Eventually these services
turned into more racing services and products.
